Redbridge Equalities & Community Council wishes to encourage everyone who is eligible to vote forthcoming London Elections on May 5, 2016 and in the European Union Referendum to sign on the Electoral Register. European Citizens and Commonwealth Citizens resident in London have the right to vote in the elections for the Mayor of London and the London Assembly. We want to make sure that people from all these communities have a voice and the people with disabilities, sensory impairments, learning difficulties or mental health problems are not excluded from these elections. For that reason we have a supply of registration forms and guidance to registering in a range of languages, large print, easy read and in Braille produced by the Electoral Commission.
Please see below material produced by ‘London Elects’ in a range of languages explaining the voting system in the London elections. You can already access information about this in English and a number of languages from the London Elects website.
We would be very happy to come to a meeting of your organisation with the forms and help people to fill them in.
